Mirrors
Not being vain, but I love to look in the mirror. I don't always like what I see, but I do look at one every morning. I am that person who glances at myself passing by a shop window or gives the quick flip of the car visor mirror to make sure everything is in check. Lips glossy? Check! Concealer concealing? Check!
However, in true retrospect, my face should be the last thing that I should be checking daily...what about my heart, my spiritual relationship and walk with God?! I feel that often as humans we are so selfish and self-centered that we don't take the time to really focus on what matters. We take everything that doesn't matter to heart and take the important aspects of life with a grain of salt. No wonder why our society and generations have such a skewed perspective of life and its meaning. We, as a whole, are morally and spiritually dead.
As Christians, it is our God-given purpose to focus and reflect what truly matters-the Love of God and living a life that reflects Him! This is the only thing that can save us. We are the mirrors of Christ-a true reflection of what it means to follow Him. What is your life reflecting? If you are honest with yourself like I am, it can be quite scary at times---like the first-in-the-morning-hair-out-of-place look! Does your life need a makeover? Stop, read, reflect and act. Don't take the Word of God merely as a Cosmopolitan-like How-To Guide. Read it, follow it, live it.

James 1:23-25
"Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror24 and, after looking at himself, goes
away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do." KJV
