Another note I wanted to add is if we aim the focus of our affection onto Jesus, He will surely shape what we want to be aligned to what He wants. That's one of the joys of our relationship with Jesus. He gives us His eyes, and fashions our hearts to beat like His. When He becomes our first desire, the subsequent desires will be authored and accomplished by Him.

A desire I used to have personally was to be a stay-at-home wife and mom. As I've meditated and prayed over the years, though, it's not what I want. It's completely open to God. I prefer not to be a mother and my preference about getting married or staying single shifts. Some random desires of my heart right now are to go to or perhaps live in some places in Europe; we'll have to see what God does with that! :)
